Happy Earth Day!

We asked Bob the Dog what his favourite planet is and he said this one right here.

This is where he gets his treats, takes his naps, and chases balls, after all.

That’s why we’ve all got to do our part to keep not just our dogs healthy, but our planet healthy too.

At Bob the Dog, we’ve been committed to using natural, organic, and eco-friendly ingredients in our products from the beginning.

This is why we source all our seafood ingredients for our dog treats from local restaurants.

And why we got into the compostable poop bag business.

And, of course, why all the products we make, whether it’s our sprays, treats or shampoo bars, do not contain industrialized chemicals.

Because, it’s better for everyone.

Just like healthy pets are happy pets …

Woof - that's me! Canadian made and Canadian PROUD!

We've been a long time advocate of supporting local because it just makes dang good sense! Not only does it mean keeping money in our own communities, but it often means a better product and better customer service - and that's fur sure what you get with Bob the Dog!

Sun’s out, bugs out.

Woof!

Bob the Dog loves the sunshine, the cherry blossoms coming into bloom, the long walks in the park, and going with Ma to the markets.

But no one loves the fleas and ticks that come out of the woodwork in spring.

We sent Bob the Dog for his usual cut and shampoo at the groomer …

(As he demands monthly in his spokesdog contract)

And he came out looking a little different.

We’re not sure if it’s new scissors or new soap but Bob the Dog is looking fantastic.

Look at that shiny coat and those intelligent, all-knowing eyes.

Not to mention proving his fashionista credentials, sporting one of our Good Dog bandanas.

Despite his new look, he’s still as humble and kind as ever. (And he still LOVES our treats.)

They’re working wonders down at the groomer’s.

On St. Paddy’s, everyone’s a little Irish — even me, woof!

But you can go green …

While still buying red and white.

Of course, there’s no Canadian substitute for Guinness.

(Mind you, Guinness wasn’t made for dogs.)

That doesn’t mean I won’t be drooling at the smell of beef and Guinness stew.
But I can celebrate St. Paddy’s Day in my own way.
We’ve got a lot of great treats, but one is especially great for this occasion:

Our Pup-Eye’s Spinach Cookies.

If Guinness isn’t your thing, you might be dyeing your beer green.

But my spinach cookies are already naturally green.
And healthy!

It’s not always easy to get me to eat my fruits and vegetables.

But when you pack spinach and apple into a cookie?
Woof!

The best part?

We’re not only celebrating our Irish friends — we’re also buying Canadian!

So for St. Paddy’s Day, I’m eating green …
While still buying red and white.

(P.S., I have to admit, I look very handsome in a cute, green hat!)

Woof! Happy International Women’s Day to all women and girls.

But especially to my Ma.

Although we’re named after me, Bob The Dog, I’m not actually the one actually making the treats and running the business.

That’s all Ma (and the Guy.)

(I did try taking a more active paw in the business, but I ended up eating all our inventory, which was bad.)

My Ma works hard every day, making treats, shipping orders, talking to customers …

She’s amazing!

Women-led businesses are still only about 20% of the market in Canada.

So let’s support women in small businesses this International Women’s Day …
