Woof! Happy International Women’s Day to all women and girls.

But especially to my Ma.

Although we’re named after me, Bob The Dog, I’m not actually the one actually making the treats and running the business.

That’s all Ma (and the Guy.)

(I did try taking a more active paw in the business, but I ended up eating all our inventory, which was bad.)

My Ma works hard every day, making treats, shipping orders, talking to customers …

She’s amazing!

Women-led businesses are still only about 20% of the market in Canada.

The Oscars were last night, but who cares? We’ve got The Bobs.

Bob the Dog is Canada’s finest critic of both snacks and film.

“Emilia Pérez” got 13 Oscar noms this year, but zero noms from Bob the Dog.

However, our Teeny Salmon Treats got 20 noms from Bob the Dog. (Nom nom nom nom … etc.) He also licked up the crumbs.

Four paws way up (so we can scratch his tummy).

“Conclave”? More like con carne. He chose a Beef Chew.

“The Substance”? Bob the Dog doesn’t need that stress in his life.

His favourite substance is our Nose & Paws Protective Balm, which protects him from the elements.

“Wicked”? Nope, Bob’s a good boy. He deserves a treat.

“A Complete Unknown”? A complete Peanut Butter Bone, please.

“The Brutalist”? Honestly, Bob hates brutalist architecture. He says it makes everything look like a prison.

“Anora”? A-snore-a. He’s fallen asleep and did not watch the rest of the nominees.

So yeah, Bob didn’t award any Bobs to any of the films nominated.

But our sustainable, organic pet products absolutely CLEANED UP this year. (And every year.)

He likes us! He really likes us!

We’d like to thank Bob for giving us these awards.

To everyone watching at home, keep your dreams alive.

Buying Canadian is better!

The news from down south isn’t great right now, but what IS great is seeing Canadians band together to support local.

Buying Canadian gets you a better product, and it’s better for the environment and economy.

We appreciate all you folks going above and beyond to support Canadian.

We even got an email from someone going so far as to check where we’re sourcing our wild Alaskan salmon. Such a great question!

And while the answer is that the salmon is caught in Alaskan waters, the fish is packaged in Canada, and then supplied to our source, a small BC owned fish and chips chain.

Every year, we purchase between 2,000 and 3,000 pounds of their trim - cod, salmon skin, and halibut - and upcycle it into delicious and healthy treats for dogs.

It’s a great partnership between two North Van businesses.

Local and sustainable never tasted better!

You know, Bob the Dog is not our pet.

He’s a member of our family.

This Family Day weekend, we made sure to make EVERY member of our family feel special.

Our dogs are there for us on bad days, good days, rainy days, and sunny days.

Our dogs have gotten us through tough times.

So we want them to have the best of this life.

And we want them to have the best treats.

You and I wouldn’t eat the processed foods and chemical treats most of the big companies are making for dogs.

We wouldn’t feed that stuff to our family members.

But we couldn’t find natural treats and supplements for dogs like ours on the market, so we made them ourselves.

Our treats are human grade and handmade.

Prepped and baked in our own kitchen with carefully selected ingredients.

Tested and approved by Bob the Dog himself.

Like the Pup-Eye’s Spinach Cookie.

Delicious and packed with spinach and apple.

A treat for him, and an easy way to sneak fruit and veg into his diet without him knowing!

Bob’s got one job: eat treats and tell us if they’re good.

We care a lot that what Bob eats is healthy.

Bob … mostly cares that it tastes good.

You’ve heard all about how good our treats are FOR your dog.

Now, are they actually up to snuff?

Bob the Dog is our product tester.

We asked him to score our products on a scale of one to five.

He’s supposed to wag his tail five times if he LOVES a treat. Zero times if he HATES a treat.

Here are the results:

Peanut Butter Bones: 500 wags.

Hali-But Bites: 400 wags (got tired).

Teeny Salmon Treats: Almost fell over from wagging.

Liver Training Treats: Drooled on the floor.

Pup-Eye’s Spinach Cookies: Confused at first, then 500 wags.

Kettle Cod: Same result.

At this point, we thought there might be something wrong with our system.

So we tried feeding him one of those treats from the grocery store.

Bob ran and hid behind the couch.

Our Yam Schticks got him out of hiding and tail wagging again.

Your dog’s tail will tell you. Just like Bob’s did.
